Exe Campus

Set in the leafy university town of Bellaterra, just outside Barcelona proper, Exe Campus trades Las Ramblas bustle for a quiet, park-surrounded setting with free on-site parking and a direct commuter train into the city centre in around 40 minutes. Rooms run spacious and clean, and the low-key campus-town atmosphere — brought to life by the adjacent Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona — makes it a practical, easy-on-the-budget base for travellers who'd rather see Barcelona's sights by day and retreat somewhere calm at night. It's best suited to value-focused and business travellers comfortable trading full downtown hotel amenities for a quieter stay and a short train ride in.
